invite you to attend a regional conference:
Transition pathway toward sustainable fossil-free fuels and base chemicals
a SUNERGY regional meeting,
which will be held at the J. Heyrovský Institute in Prague, starting on Thursday 14 September 2023 in the morning, and finishing the next day at lunchtime. A reception given by the Czech Association of Chemical Industry is planned for Thursday (14.09.23) evening.
The meeting will raise awareness among stakeholders (academia, industry, political decision-makers, national & regional networks) of fossil-free (solar) fuels and renewable chemicals in Europe, which are the primary focus of the SUNERGY initiative. Participants will get first-hand information on SUNERGY activities (vision, roadmap, events) and its endeavors to establish a large-scale European R&I initiative in the field of defossilization through solar fuels. We plan a mix of strategically oriented talks and short scientific/technical contributions that will outline and discuss feasible technological solutions aiming at defossilization.
The meeting will provide a great opportunity for networking and forging contacts among colleagues working in industry and academia, which could lead to future collaborations and EU projects. It will also demonstrate the importance of the topic and the size of the community to national and EU public authorities and solicit support from the member states for a future large-scale European R&I initiative.
There will be no conference fee. Refreshments will be provided during the conference. Participants will make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. We will recommend suitable hotels in the vicinity of the conference venue.
